November 2018 meeting

Our November meeting is set for next Monday evening (Nov. 19th) at 7:00 PM.  We have two great speakers planned – former City Councilmember and County Board Supervisor, BLANCA ALVARADO and the chair of the Santa Clara Valley chapter of ACLU of Northern California, VICTOR SIN.

Blanca Alvarado has been esteemed and revered for decades for her devotion to the people of our community.  Recently she founded Rise Up Alum Rock, a grassroots organization whose mission is to support good candidates to help get the Alum Rock school district back into the hands of capable, ethical leaders who will put children first.

Victor Sin is a volunteer leader/spokesperson for our local chapter of the ACLU.  He returns to speak to us for the third time over the almost two years of IESJ’s existence.  The ACLU champions immigrants’ rights, defends our liberties and helps reinforce our Resistance to the Trump agenda.

Meeting:  Fireside Room at Alum Rock United Methodist Church, 30 Kirk Ave. (near Alum Rock Ave.) 7:00 PM.  Refreshments served.

This will be our last meeting of 2018 (no meeting in December).  Please join us!
